About Texas
Texas is the second-largest U.S. state by both area and population. Houston is the largest city in Texas and the fourth-largest in the nation. Texas has led the nation in export revenue since 2002 and has the second-highest gross state product. Texas is the home of three cities with populations over one million residents: Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. These three cities rank among the 10 most populous cities in the country.
